Ongoing teaching, not one-off advice
Every class teaches, diagnoses and sets the next step.
A smaller class alone does not create better teaching. The edge comes from teaching new theory clearly, checking how each student applies it and using that evidence to set specific feedback and tailored homework. Students are matched closely enough for the lesson to feel shared without becoming generic.

Nelson focuses on student outcomes while recognising that no two students process an explanation, build confidence or close a gap in exactly the same way. Students do not need to learn identically. Nelson adapts explanations and feedback within a focused, ambitious learning environment.

Start with the diagnostic
For students in Year 3 to Year 9, I use the Initial Diagnostic Assessment to identify what needs work before offering a place in an ongoing program. It is a one hour, timed assessment of Reading, Writing and Mathematical Reasoning, marked personally by me, Nelson Zhou.
