2026 Selective cohort. All 11 students I prepared who sat the test received an offer.

Selective preparation for Year 4 to Year 6, in Epping and online.

I'm Nelson Zhou. I start with a one hour diagnostic across Reading, Writing and Mathematical Reasoning, mark it myself, and return a written report within five business days. That report decides what we work on and in what order. Entry to every program is by diagnostic result.

  • Term programs from A$1,900
  • Paired lessons A$100 an hour
  • One to one A$150 an hour
  • Capped at 8 students per teacher

Free Selective practice

Free to use, no account needed. It will show you the question types. It is not a substitute for the diagnostic, which is what tells you where your child actually sits.

Free NSW Selective School Question Bank

Help your child improve in Reading, Thinking Skills, Mathematical Reasoning and Writing through structured practice, clear explanations and saved progress.

Free Starter practice is available now. The invitation-only Selective Diagnostic is a separate, code-gated experience.

03 · How to use it

Start at the right point, then build deliberately.

After creating a free account, new Free Starter students begin with a short mixed diagnostic. The current system then uses saved responses to choose suitable challenge and spaced review. Invited Diagnostic participants use their separate invitation code instead.

FREE ACCOUNT01

Learn mode

Use hints, check each response and study a concise explanation, mini-lesson or worked example before the next question.

FREE ACCOUNT02

Practice mode

Receive immediate marking and explanations while the practice difficulty and next question adjust during the session.

FREE ACCOUNT03

Exam mode

Work with a timer, navigation and flagging. Answers and explanations stay locked until you submit.

NEW TO THE CENTRE?

Create a free account, then begin the mixed diagnostic.

This existing account-based Free Starter diagnostic samples all four areas and provides practice recommendations from saved responses. It is separate from the invitation-only Selective Diagnostic. The no-account Writing Starter also remains separate.

HOW THE PREPARATION ROUTE WORKS

Begin with evidence. Continue without hidden assumptions.

Each step says what works now, when an account is required and what remains clearly labelled by its current availability.

  1. 01

    Choose the current route

Use public Free Starter practice, or enter the separate Selective Diagnostic with a valid invitation code if your family is invited.

  2. 02

    Complete the assigned snapshot

Invited students complete assigned questions and may add an optional writing response. Writing is stored but not scored for quality.

  3. 03

    Review the evidence

After completion, a parent provides a name and email to unlock a private evidence-linked report and receive its report link.

  4. 04

    Choose the next step

The diagnostic identifies patterns. The Consultation provides expert interpretation and a personalised roadmap.

Selective-school support

Use the writing evidence to choose the right kind of next step.

Ongoing tutoring is for skill development and practice. A one-off consultation is for school choices, timing and the family plan.
